Our Saturday night optional excursion to Medieval Times is for the 6:45 PM show, plan to meet in Scottsdale at Medieval Times no later than 6 PM. Medieval Times address is 9051 East Via De Ventura, Scottsdale, AZ 85258. Rideshare or rental car are your best options for getting there, allow about 20 to 25 minutes.
Tickets for this optional outing end Monday morning January 5, please see the separate post in the Facebook group for details.

Our Sunday night reception is at the BOURBON ROOM. This is also downtown and is about a 15 minute walk from the hotel. Exact timing on start time will be confirmed this week but figure around 4:30 PM start time.

How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
You’ll land at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport which is in the heart of the Valley of the Sun and very close to downtown Phoenix where the AC Hotel is located. AC Hotel address is 414 N 5th St Phoenix AZ 85004. (Note there are multiple AC hotels in Metro Phoenix so make sure you’re going to the right one)
Here are your transport options:
- Metro Light rail (cheapest option, really easy and safe, takes around 15-20 minutes):
After you collect your bags, look for signs to the SKYTRAIN upstairs in the terminal. Take the Skytrain to the 44th Street Metro Station. Go down the escalator. Buy a ticket on the platform from the vending machine for $2. Take the A Line Train Westbound for 19 stops and get off at 5th St/Van Buren Station. Walk three blocks north on 5th St to the hotel. Downtown Phoenix is safe and walkable.
- Uber/Lyft/Waymo:
Depending on the time of day, typically around $25 from the airport to the hotel. If you want to try driverless Waymo, download and set up their app in advance.
- Rental Car/Your Own Car:
The hotel has an adjacent parking garage for Arizona Center. It’s $20 a day. If you have a tall vehicle, there is also a surface lot adjacent to the parking garage for taller vehicles

What is the weather like in January?
Weather in January is normally in the 40s and 50s at night and anywhere from 60-80 during the day. It may be chilly in the warehouse for the classes in the morning, so we recommend dressing in layers.
How do you get breakfast if your not staying at the hotel?
This year the breakfast will be provided at the hotel. Each room will receive two breakfast ticket to enjoy breakfast on-site. If you are not staying at the hotel there are many great options around close to the events.
What if I have special diet requests?
We would be happy to help with this.

Sorry, no. The hotel is located very close to the airport with plenty of options for transportation via uber or public rail.
